Haiti - Politic : Jovenel Moïse hands over the keys of a fleet of vehicles to the PNH

On Wednesday January 20, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied in particular by Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe handed over the keys of a fleet of vehicles to the Commander-in-Chief of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) Léon Charles.

This fleet of 15 pickups, 3 buses and 112 motorcycles is part of the measures taken by the Head of State aimed at strengthening the operational capacities of the police institution.

Léon Charles praised the efforts of the President of the Republic and the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) who have equipped the national police with these brand new vehicles, which will allow the institution to meet its obligations as guardian order, peace and public security and given the guarantee that this new equipment will be used effectively in the fight against banditry and organized crime.

In his speech Jovenel Moïse declared, "I handed over the keys of several vehicles to the police institution. These rolling stock will help strengthen the operational capacity of the PNH. I salute the brave police officers for their efforts to achieve results, in terms of protecting lives and property."

For his part, Prime Minister Jouthe declared "I accompanied the President of the Republic to the ceremony for handing over the keys of 130 rolling stock to the PNH with a view to strengthening its operational capacity and the conduct of its mission : public security and the fight against banditry and delinquency."
