On Sunday a JetBlue airline plane carrying passengers to Fort Lauderdale (Florida) had to make an emergency landing in Haiti

Jet Blue flight 1710 took off at 6:54:31 p.m. from Toussaint Louverture International Airport on Sunday for Fort Lauderdale.

At 7:00 p.m. the pilots, having noticed a problem with one of the engines, decided to turn around and began the descent of the plane for an emergency landing.

The aircraft was then at an altitude of 1.219 m, 43 km northwest of the airport at GPS coordinates [18.7925 -72.6347].

The plane landed without damage at Toussaint Louverture International Airport at 7:17:51pm where all emergency services, firefighters and ambulance had been mobilized.

All the passengers are safe and sound.
