Haiti - Diplomacy : The Olympics on the agenda of the Embassy of Haiti in Tokyo

Friday April 2, The Ambassador of Haiti to Japan, Helph Monod Honorat, welcomed at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission in Tokyo, Senator Kei Sato, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

Senator Sato wanted to inquire about the sports preparation of Haitian athletes https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33346-haiti-tokyo-2021-olympic-participation-of-12-haitian-athletes-in-7-disciplines.html as part of their participation in the XXXII Olympiad of the modern era to be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8, 2021. The two men subsequently discussed several bilateral cultural and economic aspects. They also discussed the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of sport by promoting investment in quality sports infrastructure in Haiti.

In addition, let's remember that as part of the Cultural Exchange Program between the Haitian Olympic team and the municipality of Kota, the hometown of Mitsuaki Mizuno, Ambassador of Japan in Haiti who is at the origin of this Program signed in 2019 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-28583-icihaiti-tokyo-2020-kota-will-host-the-athletes-of-the-haitian-national-team.html, Haitian athletes will be welcomed after the Olympic Games, more precisely on August 10 and 11, 2021 in the city of Kota (in the department of Aichi in Japan), for sporting and cultural exchanges with the citizens of the city.
