The Public Treasury is facing a difficult situation

In a circular published on Thursday, July 29, 2021, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance (MEF) "[...] orders the principal, delegated and secondary authorizing officers to halve the expenses relating to the acquisition of fuel for the next two months of this fiscal year, August and September. This decision was taken because of the difficult situation facing the Public Treasury [...] In addition, no decommissioning of appropriations from the corresponding paragraphs will be authorized by its competent services."

Handover of State property

Following the assassination of the Head of State, the General Secretariat of the Presidency informs all members of the Cabinet and all those who worked directly with the Head of State to kindly hand over, as soon as possible, all the property that are in their possession, which were made available to them for services which no longer function since the death of the Head of State. The administration grants until Monday, August 16, 2021 for the receipt of goods or on the contrary for the application of laws for forced recovery for the benefit of the Haitian state.
