The PM united with political parties

On Wednesday August 18, 2021, Prime Minister ai Ariel Henry met with representatives of political parties to present them with a report on the post-earthquake situation and discuss the consultation mechanisms to be put in place for better coordination of aid and government action. At the end of this meeting Henry declared "I would like to reaffirm the firm determination and the commitment of my Government to find a political agreement between all the actors of the national life for a sustainable development of the country."

Ciro Ugarte, PAHO's Director of Health Emergencies, said the covid-19 vaccination campaign was temporarily stopped because health teams had to face new priorities.
