Haiti - Technology : 15% of Digicel antennas non-operational

In a press release of Thursday, October 21, Digicel informs the general public and its customers in particular, that due to persistent fuel availability problems and other challenges relating to insecurity, more than 15% of its sites are non-operational despite the titanic efforts made.

"The company will continue to mobilize the necessary resources to ensure the continuity of its services, however if this situation persists, the impacts could be much more considerable. Digicel will keep the public in general and all its customers in particular informed of the evolution of the situation," one can read.

On October 19, the CEO of the Digcel Maarten Boute wrote "More and more the shortage of diesel affects the operations of Digicel. On 1,500 antenans nationwide already more than 150 are out of diesel," or 10%
