The World Justice Project (WJP) this month (October) published its Rule of Law 2021 index, in 139 countries and jurisdictions, note that this new edition includes 11 new countries including Haiti.

The 2021 Index shows that globally, more countries have fallen rather than improved in their overall rule of law performance for the fourth year in a row.

In a year dominated by the Covid-19 pandemic, 74.2% of the countries covered experienced declines in their performance while only 25.8% improved.
