Wednesday November 3, 2021 in Martissant, 4 fuel trucks were diverted but the drivers released unlike Monday when 4 other trucks were intercepted by armed men who kidnapped the drivers while leaving the trucks on site. The PNH secured these trucks with armored vehicles but it is impossible to recover them without taking a great risk, the bandits constantly watching with weapons of war.

Thursday Marc André Derisphonse the President of the National Association of Service Station Owners (ANAPROSS) denied the statements of Prime Minister Ariel Henry who ensures that a safe corridor has been put in place to facilitate the distribution of fuel while Since Monday, Derisphonse says that already 10 tanker trucks have been intercepted by armed men who are still holding 4 drivers under hostage, stressing that the negotiations for their release (including the recovery of the trucks) are still ongoing...

Beyond the Prime Minister's comments, no improvement is really visible, the Varreux oil terminal (70% of Haiti's storage capacity) is still under the control of the G9 coalition of gangs and that of Thor n is not effectively secured. Endless queues are still observed at the few stations that distribute a little fuel, while on the black market a gallon of fuel reaches 2,500 gourdes... and the prices of public transport have doubled
