Thursday, November 25, 2021, Samuel Saturné, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, proceeded in the presence of the Haitian judicial authorities, members of the basoche, Frantz ELBÉ, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and several senior executives of the national police, at the installation of the new Minister of Justice and Public Security Me Berto Dorcé https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35323-haiti-flash-ministerial-reshuffle-8-new-ministers.html also sitting on the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) in his capacity as Vice-president (art. 14, law 29 November 1994).

Samuel Saturné reminded the new holder of the Ministry of the major projects that await him, the priorities of the Government, in particular security, elections, the fight against prolonged preventive detention and land insecurity... He recalled that the Government is keen to make respect for the rule of law, the fight against corruption and the restoration of the authority of the State, its workhorses.

In his speech for the occasion, the new Minister of Justice made the commitment to work for a strong, independent, efficient justice, accessible to all and functioning without any political influence of any tendency whatsoever and put forward in his address the priorities of his ministry consisting, among other things, in the fight against insecurity in all its forms, in particular kidnapping.
