On Wednesday December 8, 2021, Digicel announced the promotion of the Director of Operations of the company Jean Philippe Brun, to the position of Director General. He replaces Maarten Boute in this post.

Jean Philippe BRUN becomes the first Haitian to occupy this function. He will be responsible for strengthening the overall business growth strategy of the company and Boute will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.

He does nothing by half, he has a sense of responsibility, discipline and rigor. Me, I have always enjoyed working with him and I am proud of what he has done as Commercial Director and COO and I am sure that he will give positive results as Director General," commented Maarten Boute, outgoing CEO, adding "During my tenure as CEO, I was able to rely on his intelligence, his dynamism and his loyalty. He can count on my support. I wish him good luck and congratulate him on his promotion."

For his part Brun said "I am moved by this promotion which is for me an opportunity to continue to serve our kind and loyal customers and to work with exceptional collaborators and partners who have always supported me throughout my professional career".
