Haiti - Politic : The Government in retreat in order to get the country out of the impasse

Thursday January 13, 2022, at the Decameron hotel on the Côte des Arcadins, the Prime Minister, Ariel Henry launched the work and debates, as part of the 2-day Government retreat (January 13 and 14) at which take part of senior executives of the Public Administration, in particular the Ministers and the Secretaries of State.

According to the Prime Minister "The objective of this retreat is, among other things, to ensure cohesion and better articulation of government action, with a view to setting up a common reflection to better optimize the results for the benefit of the community [...]

[...] In this delicate situation, it is necessary to seek the harmonization, cohesion and solidarity necessary for the exercise of a governmental mission. This, in order to meet expectations, to satisfy the increasingly pressing demands of the population and to get the country out of the impasse.

[...] Indeed, only a united, disciplined Government, united around the same objective, and moving in the same direction, can respond to the various problems facing the Haitian population.

Every member of government must realize and recognize that the legacy left by our predecessors is built on a reality that we cannot escape without committing to transforming it [...]"
