Passing of Dr. René Charles

On January 16, Dr. René Charles, a pioneer in the fight against diabetes, died in Florida at the age of 91. Dr. Charles founded the Haitian Diabetes Association in 1987, which in 1993 became the Haitian Foundation for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases (FHADIMAC). His funeral will be sung on Saturday January 22 in Miami. His family informs that another ceremony will be held later in Port-au-Prince to salute the memory of Dr. Charles.

Kidnapping of Cuban Dr. Alabedra, RN#2 blocked
