Haiti - FLASH : 82.4% of Haitians want to leave Haiti to live elsewhere (national survey) 28/01/2022 08:09:42
Thursday, February 27 at the Karibe hotel in the presence of representatives of political parties, parliamentarians, civil society actors, the Citizen Observatory for the Institutionalization of Democracy (OCID) presented the results of a "National Survey of People's Concerns and Perceptions of Democratic Values and Institutions" made possible with technical assistance from the National Institute for Democracy (NDI) and financial support from the United States Agency for Democracy International Development (USAID-Haiti) After its 2015 survey, the OCID undertook to conduct a new national survey in October 2021. The results of this new OCID survey on the major concerns of the Haitian people and their perceptions of democracy have enabled to highlight a political, economic, social and security panorama, to say the least, disconcerting and a portrait of the situation of the country not very rosy.
