Gangs would use drones

According to some testimonies of the gangs who control the southern entrance to Port-au-Prince, now have drones to monitor the area and their territory.

Jacmel : The spirit of Carnival was very present

Sunday February 20 on Avenue Barranquilla the Minister of Culture Emmelie Prophète-Milce and the Minister of Tourism, Cassandra François were present for the official opening of the 30th edition of the carnival of Jacmel around the theme: "Jakmèl, vile kanaval pou toutan". Baranquilla Avenue has regained its freshness with these disguises, its tanks, its walking bands, its dances and its music for the pleasure of the population who came in large numbers to participate and who wanted for at least a day to forget the harsh reality. The spirit of Carnival was very present in Jacmel.

NRJ : Singer Rutshelle Guillaum Artist of the Year

On Saturday, as part of the NRJ Antilles trophies, Haitian singer Rutshelle Guillaume won the title in the Artist of the Year 2021 category following public votes. Should be noted that it is the first Haitian to win this Prize.

First Black Summit in Haiti

To commemorate Black History Month (February), the Office of the United Nations Youth Organization in Africa in Haiti (BOJNUAH) is organizing from March 10 to 13, 2022, in Port-au-Prince and Jacmel, the first Black Summit on the theme "Historical contribution of Blacks in the history of the world". An initiative to advocate on the importance of African culture and Afro-descendants.
