Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, who did not intervene at the funeral, paid on his official Twitter account, a last vibrant tribute to the former General of the army of Haiti.

"By attending this morning the official funeral of retired General Hérard Abraham, I want to pay tribute to the memory of a great servant of the Nation. President of the CNG [National Council of Government of Haiti], he was an architect of order and peace, a model soldier, a patriot, who served his country with dedication and respect [...] In this painful circumstance, I add my voice to that of the Haitian people who today mourn the departure of this great man who devoted his life to our dear Haiti. I take this opportunity, on behalf of my Government, to express my heartfelt condolences to his family and his brothers in arms."
