In the workshops, the members of the delegation highlighted Haiti's interests in relation to the themes, and shared after discussion the common position of the SIDS and the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC) by to the text of the global framework.

Haiti supports the need for the creation of a global biodiversity fund that would enable SIDS to build their capacity for biodiversity conservation and the implementation of the global biodiversity framework.
