Haiti - FLASH : A Capital Coach Line bus hijacked, 28 passengers taken hostage

On Wednesday January 18, 2023, a bus from the company "Capital Coach Line" which left Santo Domingo at 6:35 a.m. bound for Haiti with 37 Haitian passengers on board, was intercepted in Haiti at Morne Cabrit, near Croix-des-Bouquets not far from the ranch, by heavily armed individuals presumed to be members of the "400 Mawozo".

Let's remember that the buses are escorted by police officers but it seems that the kidnappers managed to thwart police protection.

Roosevelt Jean François owner of the company said that 9 passengers managed to escape, the hostess was injured and transported to a hospital.

On Wednesday evening, the kidnappers were still holding the bus and all the passengers hostage in a place not yet located. The relatives of the passengers are without news of the hostages.

Dominican driver Johan de la Rosa is missing.
