A Royal Canadian Air Force Lockheed CP-140 Aurora, Canada's only Strategic Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) aircraft, a long-range patrol aircraft range (7,400 km) equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance equipment, is currently on a mission over Haiti to support the efforts of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) for the restoration of security in the country, informed Saturday, February 4th, 2023 Sébastien Carrière the Ambassador of Canada to Haiti.

This surveillance is another step in Canada's response to the Haitian crisis, which is based on four pillars : inclusive political dialogue, sanctions, humanitarian aid and security assistance.

"For the security of the operation we will not make any further comment on this mission, which is done in collaboration and with the agreement of the Government of Haiti," said the Canadian Ambassador.
