Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry took part in the celebration of Europe Day, an important date for the European Community (EU), today 27 States strong, and for Haiti, which has woven solid and privileged links with this community through its objectives.
In his speech for the occasion, Ariel Henry declared "[...] Haiti must take its destiny into its own hands and we are counting on our EU partners to agree to include their efforts in line with plans, programs and projects that we define within the framework of our public policies.
[...] The situation of violence in the country invites us to turn our eyes to all those who want to help us, given the precariousness of our means and the lack of equipment of the National Police. We continue to count on your kindness to help us get out of this infernal circle."
