OAS : beginning of a consensus

Léon Charles, Permanent Representative of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS) participated in the 5th meeting of the Working Group on Haiti. Beginning of a consensus between the members of the 3 subgroups (Elections and Democracy, Humanitarian and Security) on the need to restore the minimum security conditions for the holding of elections.

Strike by the Public prosecution workers, lifted for 2 months

In order to facilitate the liquidation of ongoing criminal cases, including the holding of criminal assizes and correctional hearings, the Public prosecution workers who have been on strike for nearly four months, have announced the temporary suspension of their movement for a period of two months. However, if their demands are not taken into account by then, the strike movement will resume from August 1.
