In a press release, 6 human rights organizations (CALSDH, Kay Fanm, SOFA, KRIFA, RNDDH and the Toya Foundation) welcome the preliminary judgment of July 10, 2023 of the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince ordering the appearance of the former President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) Yves Jean-Bart alias "Dadou", charged with acts of sexual abuse of minors in the case opposing him to the Government Commissioner.

This decision follows the testimony of several organizations before the Honorable Judges of the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince. Hearing for the very first time, these organizations requested a new objective and impartial judicial investigation. Indeed, they believe that the investigation conducted by magistrate Emilio ACCIMÉ of the Croix-des-Bouquets Jurisdiction had not sought to shed full light on the serious allegations of rape, sexual bargaining, abortions forced and debauched, reproached to Mr. Yves Jean-Bart and perpetrated against minors placed under his authority at the "Camp Nou" Academy.

"In addition, the signatory organizations believe that it is urgent that the competent judicial authorities take all necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of the victims, their immediate family members, whistleblowers, witnesses and all other people who can provide relevant information for the progress of the investigation in order to allow the Haitian justice to shed light on the serious allegations made against Mr. Yves Jean-Bart [...]"
