As every year, the British consulting firm "Henley & Partners" publishes its ranking for the year 2023 (Q3) of 199 passports, based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It is important to note that it is updated in real time throughout the year as visa policy changes change and come into effect.

The Henley Passport Index 2023 Visa Restrictions Index is an index that ranks passports by number of destination countries without the need to apply for a visa in advance.

According to the index, the Passport of Haiti ranks last of the Caribbean countries and allows access to 51 countries in the world (+2 compared to the previous year) including 19 visa-free countries. Haiti ranks 86th in the world and advances 11 places compared to the previous year "tied" with the passports of the Republic of Congo, Liberia and Burundi.

The Passport of our Dominican neighbors advances by 7 places and ranks 71st in the world "ex aequos" with Gambia, allows access without prior visa to 71 countries in the world (+1 compared to the previous year).

In the Caribbean region, Haiti ranks last. The Haiti passport allows VISA-FREE access to the Caribbean in only 3 countries: Barbados, Dominica and Grenada.

2nd - Germany / Italy / Spain (190 destinations)

3rd - Austria / Finland / France / Luxembourg / South Korea / Sweden (189 destinations) and Spain (190 destinations)

TOP 3 of the most powerful passports in the Caribbean:

1st - Barbados - access to 163 countries (21st in the world)

2nd - Bahamas: access to 156 countries (23rd in the world)

2nd - St. Kitts and Nevis: access to 155 countries (24th in the world)
