Monday, August 8, 2023, the United States Embassy in Port-au-Prince was not closed. The Embassy advises that it did not provide services to the public and was open for limited operations only. All personnel have been restricted to embassy compounds until further notice due to gunfire near the embassy. Travel between concessions has been prohibited.
