Haiti - Security : The Ministry of Justice seeks to «marry» the population with the PNH

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) informs the population that very clear instructions have been passed to the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to intervene decisively throughout the territory of the Republic to protect the population, who, in no way, should abandon his places of life to the bandits.

The Ministry asks the population to support the police officers engaged in the field by providing them with information on the configuration of neighborhoods that can enable them to make the best decisions and develop the best strategies.

The MJSP recognizes that the context is difficult, that the exchange of fire between the Police and the bandits can be extremely disturbing for the population; that the proliferation of hotbeds of tension is overwhelming for both sides but the Police/Population marriage will certainly be a winner thing. Victory against organized crime and criminality can only be for the population and its police force.

As in its notes of March 6 and 8, 2023, the Ministry reminds the population that it has a duty to resist, that the denunciation of criminals is a civic duty as specified in Article 52-1 of the Constitution of the Republic in force concerning the obligations of the citizen vis-à-vis the State and the Fatherland.
