Haiti - PNH : Graduation of 63 young people from the 3rd class of «SIRIUS» Explorers

As part of a program initiated in 2015 between the Educational Community Police (EduPol) and International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), 63 students from different educational establishments in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince were trained in citizenship education.

This training, which lasted two years, focused on leadership, civics, first aid, human rights, democracy, English, French and discipline. The goal is to allow young "Explorers" to get involved in the fight against juvenile delinquency, through their respective communities.

The graduation ceremony took place in the presence of police officers of all ranks and ranks, representatives of the INL, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), various personalities, parents, and former Explorers.

Divisional Commissioner Wesman Desmangles, who represented the Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH) Frantz Elbé, underlined the special attention given to young people by the High Command of the Haitian National Police through this program, where the majority of beneficiaries are schoolchildren from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods.
