Dajabón under maximum military surveillance

Since the early hours of Friday, September 15, members of various military units have been patrolling the streets of the province of Dajabón, after the entry into force of the presidential decree which ordered the closure of the entire Dominican border with Haiti, by way land, air and sea. The soldiers travel on motorbikes, buggies and armored vehicles equipped with long weapons across the border province. The military is also using drones to expand surveillance of the area.

Behind the Canal, "a group of anarchists"

Friday September 15, 2023, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Group of 77 and China in Havana (Cuba), the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, declared that the new border conflict with Haiti is due to a group of anarchists who seek to destabilize the Haitian Government.

Security Council : Vote on Haiti postponed

Thursday, September 15, 2023, the examination and vote on the resolution of a multinational intervention in Haiti in support of the Haitian National Police (PNH) was postponed to a later date, informs the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) which recalls that the agenda of the Security Council is strictly decided by the Member States.

Jacmel : The Government Commissioner died in an accident

Friday September 15, 2023, Lyonel Chérima, the Government Commissioner of the jurisdiction of Jacmel and his security agent, a police officer from the 28th promotion, died in a traffic accident on national road number 2 of Acul, in Léogâne.
