Friday June 21, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille, accompanied by Carlos Hercule Minister of Justice and National Security, in the presence of the President of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), Edgard Leblanc Fils, representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps and of several personalities proceeded to the installation of Inspector General Rameau Normil as the new Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police, replacing Frantz Elbé.

In his speech for the occasion, the Prime Minister and Head of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN). Garry Conille, welcomed the choice of Rameau Normil at the head of the police institution, while asking him to be up to his task in order to give new hope to the population... "Mr Normil Rameau must put himself quickly to work by tackling the security problems facing the country, in order to facilitate the free movement of lives and goods of citizens throughout the national territory," insisted the Head of Government.

In his intervention, the Minister of Justice said he was delighted with the return of Rameau Normil and believes that he will highlight his skills and his sense of leadership to give new images to the capital of Haiti and the cities of province, in terms of security.

For his part, the President of the CPT, Edgard Leblanc Fils, promised the new Director General a.i the support of the Council in the fight against armed gangs, in order to allow citizens to go about their business in complete peace of mind.

In his remarks, the new Director General Rameau Normil promised that he will put everything in motion to dismantle all the gang centers.
