Haiti - FLASH : Sabotage and vandalism at the water pumping station in Tabarre

The National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) denounces the sabotage and acts of vandalism at the T3 water pumping station, in the Edy-One zone (Tabarre).

On the evening of July 2nd, 2024, unidentified individuals cut all the electrical cables from the control panel, stole batteries and damaged numerous other materials and equipment.

Following these criminal acts, DINEPA anticipates difficulties in supplying drinking water to the population in areas such as Tabarre, Delmas, the airport, Katalpa, Siloé among others...

Until now the perpetrators of these acts have not yet been identified…

DINEA deplores the deterioration of its infrastructure built with international money...
