In a world facing many challenges and conflicts, culture can greatly contribute to overcoming divisions, strengthening social cohesion and improving international relations. The European Union (EU) is committed to promoting peace, freedom of expression and respect for fundamental rights. Promoting cultural diversity through international cultural relations is a priority for the EU.

Haitian culture, rich in African, Taíno and European influences, is recognized for its creativity and dynamism. However, the cultural sector in Haiti faces many challenges, exacerbated by the situation in the country.

Programme Objectives :

The general objective of this call for proposals is to "contribute to building a more inclusive society through the strengthening of the cultural sector and cultural cooperation between Haiti and the European Union."

Specific objectives include :

• Support culture as a driver of social and economic development;

• Promote intercultural dialogue for peaceful relations;

• Increase the visibility of Haitian cultural events at national, regional and international level;

• Disseminate EU fundamental values ​​through cultural activities aimed at inclusion, poverty reduction and conflict reduction….k

Financial Details :

The overall indicative amount made available is EUR 500,000. The requested grants must be between EUR 400,000 and EUR 500,000 and can cover up to 100% of the eligible costs of the action.
