Haiti - FLASH : «D-1» Baccalaureate exam schedules 2023-2024

On Friday, August 2nd, 2024, officials from the Ministry of National Education revealed that 121,006 candidates are expected to take the baccalaureate exams for the 2023-2024 academic year, which will take place from August 5 to 8, 2024.

According to statistics provided by the National Bureau of State Examinations (BUNEXE), the 121,006 candidates are distributed as follows :

109,453 registered for Secondary 4 (these are candidates who will take these exams for the first time);

10,734 registered for the permanent Baccalaureate of Secondary 4;

819 candidates for traditional Philosophy.

These candidates will have their exam in Philosophy in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30 and Chemistry in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 Monday, August 5, 2024, the first day of the exams.

The Minister of National Education, Augustin Antoine, thanked all the stakeholders involved, including the Government, parents, teachers' unions and Ministry agents mobilized to make these exams possible.

For his part, while emphasizing the importance of these exams which constitute one of the major annual activities of the Ministry, Yves Roblin, the new Director General of the Ministry reminded candidates of the need to respect the instructions which will always be strictly applied, so that the taking of these exams takes place without problems.

Regarding two or three examination centers in the West and for candidates displaced due to armed violence, Renan Michel, the Director of the National Office of State Examinations assured that the Ministry had finally settled everything and that all candidates will undergo these exams, regardless of the school district where they are located.
