Haiti - Sunrise Airways : Baggage delay, the company explains

In a note, the Haitian private airline Sunrise Airways explains that it "pays particular attention to the recent difficulties encountered by its passengers regarding delays in baggage delivery and regrets the inconvenience that these delays may have caused, particularly for travelers arriving from abroad with several pieces of baggage."

"As with all airlines, and for safety reasons, the number of bags is strictly limited per flight. In the event of an unforeseen surplus, baggage must therefore be distributed to other flights.

"Operating in an unstable environment for several years, Sunrise Airways is making considerable efforts to continue to provide essential flights to the population.

However, the company has been facing a particularly difficult situation since the events of February 2024 at Port-au-Prince airport, which caused significant damage to several of its aircraft and irreparable damage to one of them.

Despite the temporary reduction in the company's capacity, Sunrise Airways would like to assure its passengers that it is doing everything possible to transport the baggage of all passengers as quickly as possible and resolve this complex situation.
