Haiti - Social : Walk for Women this Friday + Sophia Martelly

This Friday, November 25 will take place the official launch of the awareness campaign on violence against girls and women on the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

On this occasion a great walk is organized at 8.30 am, it will have as point of departure the carrefour Marassa to end in front of the offices of the mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets.

This work will see, among other things, the participation, of representatives of the Ministry for Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF), authorities of the municipality of Croix-des-Bouquets and of organizations defending women's rights.

Message of the First Lady, Sophia Martelly

"I salute the courage of Haitian women, on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. I reaffirm my faith in the emergence of a society based on the mutual respect and the peaceful coexistence among all its components. I pledge to support the women and girl in their long struggle in favor of respect of their dignity and fundamental rights."
