Thursday, October 24, 2024, Grenadière Melchie Daelle Dumornay (21 years old) alias "Corventina" native of Mirebalais, was elected Best Player of the 2023-2024 season of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).

She is the first Haitian in the annals of football to obtain this distinction and find herself at the top of the Concacaf Prize List. All Haitians are proud to have an athlete respected in the eyes of the world for her talent that knows no borders or limits.

Corventina embodies much more than talent, she is a symbol of determination and pride for Haiti.

Her meteoric rise is only a prelude to everything she will accomplish in the years to come.

Victor Montagliani, CONCACAF President, said, "She is an inspiration to the Haitian people, but also to the entire Concacaf region."

In a video posted on the official Concacaf page, several influential figures in football spoke about Melchie Daelle Dumornay, highlighting the magnitude of her talent. Lindsey Horan, captain of the United States national team and midfielder for Olympique Lyonnais, one of the most prestigious clubs in women's football in the world, believes that Corventina "is one of the best players in the world."
