International NGOs on all fronts

In October, the escalation of violence in Port-au-Prince, Delmas and Tabarre displaced more than 10,000 people. To respond to urgent needs, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and its partners distributed non-food items and emergency shelter kits to nearly 2,000 households. On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Vassili Alexievich Nebenzia, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Security Council, declared after expressing his opposition to the transformation of the MMSS into a UN Mission of Beus Helmets (Peacekeeping Force) "I want to highlight the inconsistency of Washington's approach [...] The MMSS mandate has just been renewed for one year [...] and Washington has not fully paid its contribution to the Mission [...]"
