Entire families have been brutally wiped out in their homes, while others, including children and babies, have been shot dead as they tried to escape. The daily lives of many Haitians are marked by violence, fear, exhaustion, hunger, disease and uncertainty about the future. Women, girls and children face a growing threat, particularly that of sexual violence. Let's recall that in 2024, violence cost the lives of at least 5,600 Haitians https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44257-haiti-insecurity-7-839-killed-and-injured-in-2014-a-very-alarming-situation-report.html , displaced more than a million people https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44066-haiti-flash-more-than-a-million-people-in-haiti-have-been-displaced-by-violence-2024.html . The protection of the population must be everyone's priority.

We call on all parties involved in this violence to break this cycle of terror and put an end to this uncontrolled spiral.

As a humanitarian community, we remain determined to continue our vital assistance to millions of children, women and men in vulnerable situations.

Beyond the immediate aid provided by humanitarian action, we are also committed to coordinating our efforts with development and peacebuilding actors, so that our collective efforts contribute to sustainable solutions that strengthen the resilience of communities.

The international community's mobilization actions in favor of Haiti will continue in order to guarantee the necessary funding to meet urgent needs and restore the dignity of those affected.
