Haiti - Security : 25 FAd’H soldiers return from specialized training in Martinique

Saturday, March 8, 2025, as part of a military partnership between Haiti and France, 25 soldiers of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H) returned from Martinique, after a 2-week specialized training at the 33rd Marine Infantry Regiment (RIMa) to consolidate their skills and operational preparation. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44350-haiti-army-strengthening-of-the-fad-h-thanks-to-international-cooperation.html

Leslie Voltaire Presidential Transition Advisor, Jean-Michel Moïse the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the FAd'H Lieutenant-General Derby Guerrier, gave a warm welcome to the soldiers.

A meeting was subsequently held at the Salon Diplomatique, bringing together Leslie Voltaire, Jean-Michel Moïse, members of the High Staff of the FAd’H, the French Ambassador to Haiti, Antoine Michon, and Admiral Nicolas Lambropoulos, Superior Commander of the French Armed Forces in the Antilles.

Discussions focused in particular on the fight against organized criminal gangs and drug trafficking and on France’s support for our Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense. Minister Jean-Michel Moïse expressed his sincere gratitude to France for its unwavering support for the modernization and strengthening of our Armed Forces.
