Haiti - Port-de-Paix : Construction of a «historic roundabout»

Port-de-Paix, the metropolis of the Northwest region, is undergoing a renaissance thanks to an initiative by Mayor Josué Alusma, who is firmly committed to restoring Port-de-Paix to its former glory. With this in mind, a landmark project is underway: the construction of a "historic roundabout" in the heart of Port-de-Paix, intended as a symbol of the city's growth and its roots in local history.

With this new monument, Port-de-Paix intends to assert itself as a modern city, both respectful of its history and resolutely focused on the future.

This project has been well-received by the citizens of Port-de-Paix, who see it as a tangible symbol of change. Residents welcome this initiative, hoping it will mark the beginning of a series of investments and development projects that will transform their city into a model of development in the country.

Since taking office, Me Josué Alusma has made modernizing the city a priority. The roundabout is one of the cornerstones of this vision. "Port-de-Paix deserves to be a city that lives up to its history and its citizens. This project is a way to give our community back a place of gathering and pride, while improving traffic flow and the city's aesthetics," said Mr. Alusma when the construction began.

But the mayor's ambition is not limited to this project alone. The renovation of other infrastructure, the rehabilitation of roads and public spaces, and the enhancement of historic buildings are all part of a plan to redefine the city's image. These efforts aim not only to improve the quality of life for residents, but also to attract visitors and encourage investment in the region.
