On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, as part of the 8th edition of "Tuesdays of the Nation" an information space on the Government's actions, the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action, Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis Octavius, presented the highlights of the initiatives led by her Ministry. These initiatives are part of the celebration of the 222nd anniversary of the Haitian flag, on May 18. The theme of this celebration, "Yon sèl drapo, Yon sèl pèp, Yon sèl nasyon," is intended as a strong call for national unity, solidarity, and collective awareness across the ten departments, in a context marked by numerous challenges.

With a view to decentralization, the official festivities will take place this year in the city of Cap-Haitien. Planned activities include a solemn Te Deum mass, civic parades, and an official parade symbolizing the republican commitment to the Nation's values. A major celebration is also planned in the Grand'Anse and South departments. In the West department, the departmental leadership has planned several events, including one at Sainte Thérèse Park in Pétion-ville. In Arcahaie, a celebration is also planned with parades and championships. Equipment has already been distributed to youth associations in Arcahaie to facilitate the celebration," summarized the Minister.

"Between 300 and 400 million gourdes are allocated for the celebration of the Bicolore for all 10 departments," budget confirmed by the Minister of Finance.
