Haiti - Cap-Haitien : European Film Festival (Free)

The Delegation of the European Union to Haiti is pleased to announce the European Film Festival, which will take place from June 3rd to 5, 2025, in Cap-Haitien. This cultural event offers Haitian audiences a unique opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of European and international cinema.

Free screenings and debates open to the general public:

June 3rd, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.:

"Trained To See" (Three Women Reporters at the Heart of War)

A German documentary by Luzia Schmid

Starring : Martha Gellhorn, Margaret Bourke-White, and Lee Mille

Campus Henri Christophe, Limonade, followed by a debate with Stefano Gatto, Ambassador of the European Union to Haiti.

June 4th, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. :

"Primadonna" (The Girl from Tomorrow)

An Italian film by Marta Savina.

Starring : Claudia Gusmano, Fabrizio Ferracane, and Francesco Colella.

Alliance Française, Corner of Streets 15 B-D, Cap-Haitien, followed by a discussion with Stefano Gatto, Ambassador of the European Union to Haiti.

June 5, 2025 | 3:00 p.m. :

"L’Œil Du Cyclone" (The Eye of the Storm)

A French-Burkinabe film by Sékou Traoré

Starring: Fargass Assandé, Abidine Dioari, and Issaka Sawouadogo.

Alliance Française, Corner of Streets 15 B-D, Cap-Haïtien.

This festival, which benefits from the support of the French and Spanish Embassies in Haiti as well as the Alliance Française, aims to strengthen cultural ties between Europe and Haiti, while promoting intercultural dialogue and reflection through the cinema.

Admission is free and open to all film buffs, students, and those curious to discover new artistic horizons. And don't miss the opportunity to discuss topics of shared interest such as development, cooperation, youth, civil society, and, above all, cinema in a friendly atmosphere with the Ambassador.
