Haiti - Kenscoff : «Viv ansanm»sets fire to the Furcy sub-police station

On the night of July 11-12, 2025, members of the "Viv ansanm" terrorist coalition carried out a large-scale attack on the Furcy sub-police station. After forcing the police officers to abandon their positions, they set fire to the station. Two police officers were injured in the attack, according to Jean Masillon, the mayor of Kenscoff. These bandits also attacked other police bases, notably in Ka-Blain.

Mayor Jean estimates that nearly 75% of Kenscoff is currently under gang control. Law enforcement only controls the town center, Viard, Lazontière, the Grand Fond municipal section, and the Teleco site.

A few weeks ago, the police announced the recapture of several towns from the bandits. The mayor attributes this reversal of fortune to the police's inability to consolidate recaptured positions by maintaining a sufficient police presence, due to a lack of resources and personnel. The absence of the Haitian Armed Forces is also a factor. Furthermore, the interval between police interventions allows bandits to attack and retake communities. The mayor also laments the absence of kamikaze drones on the ground.
