Haiti - Education : Satisfactory results of the 2025 Baccalaureate exam

The day after the baccalaureate exams closed, Yves Roblin, Director General of the Ministry of National Education, gave a satisfactory assessment of the final secondary school exams, which were completed "95.4% of registered candidates actually took the baccalaureate exams."

Yves Roblin thanked all public institutions, law enforcement agencies, and prosecutors' offices, primarily from the country's 18 jurisdictions, who provided their full support for the organization of these exams. He also expressed his appreciation for the work accomplished by the Ministry's relevant entities, which played a decisive role in the success of this major operation.

According to Roblin, the exam texts were accessible to candidates regardless of the subject; they were consistent with the prescribed curricula and took into account the actual learning time students had during this school year.

Yves Roblin paid special attention to the 19 candidates with physical, visual, or hearing impairments who took these exams. They were accommodated in one of the testing centers open in the Delmas School District.

Miguel Fleurijean, Director of Secondary Education, highlighted certain functions of official exams, recalling that they lead to a diploma granting access to university, both in Haiti and abroad. Furthermore, they help identify certain problems that hinder the teaching and learning process.

He also reviewed the quality of the texts administered during these exams, explaining that they are organized in the same way and have a standard comparable to those used in other countries in the Caribbean and Latin American regions.

"For the 11 subjects considered, there were 430 standardized texts which, despite their differences, made it possible to assess the same cognitive level." This volume of texts strengthens the Ministry's ability to neutralize attempts at cheating. In recent years, we have gone from a single text per discipline administered at the same time nationwide to more than twenty texts per subject. In this sense, 24 texts were available for mathematics exams in the Departmental Directorate of Education of the West (DDEO).
