Haiti - Security : The first contingent of the FAd’H on its way to Mexico

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Prime Minister Didier Fils-Aimé, in the presence of Fritz Alphonse Jean, President pro tempore of the Transitional Council (CPT), Councilor Leslie Voltaire, Jean Michel Moïse, Minister of Defense, and senior civilian and military officials, took part in a ceremony marking the departure of the first contingent of 150 soldiers from the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), including 15 women, for a three-month high-level training course in Mexico https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45371-haiti-flash-colombia-will-train-1-000-fad-h-soldiers.html

This training is a historic milestone in the reconstruction of the Haitian Armed Forces and is part of a policy to strengthen national security capabilities and demonstrates the vitality of relations between Haiti and Mexico.

The Haitian Government expressed its deep gratitude to the Mexican authorities, represented at the ceremony by Carlos Imanol Reyes, envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for their continued commitment to Haiti.

The Prime Minister reiterated that this initiative was part of a broader roadmap focused on restoring public security, rehabilitating sovereign institutions, and organizing free, credible, and inclusive elections within the allotted time.

"The reform of the security system has been launched and will continue with rigor, transparency, and efficiency," affirmed Fils-Aimé, adding, "Together, we are building a Haiti at Peace, strong in its values and faithful to its republican vocation."
