Haiti - FLASH : The United States has delivered 20 new armored vehicles to Haiti

The U.S. Embassy in Haiti announced this week that the Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) delivered critical equipment to Haiti from October 28 to November 3, 2025, to the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Gang Repression Force (FRG). This includes 20 new armored personnel carriers and other essential assistance.

According to the U.S. Embassy's statement on "X" "These vehicles will strengthen the capacity of the GSF and Haitian National Police (PNH) to counter the deadly gangs who are terrorizing the people of Haiti and reaffirms U.S. commitment to Haiti’s security"

This delivery is part of the bilateral security cooperation that Washington maintains with Port-au-Prince in the context of the grave crisis facing Haiti.

It should be recalled that on September 30, 2025, the United Nations Security Council approved the transition of the Kenyan-led Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti to the creation of a Gang Suppression Force (GSF) through Resolution 2793 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45891-haiti-flash-the-security-council-has-voted-for-the-new-gang-repression-force.html
