Qatar 2025 : A U-17 Grenadier leave to Spain

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, our young U-17 Grenadiers, in the final preparation phase in Spain, two weeks before the U-17 World Cup in Qatar, learned of the unexpected leaving from the Spanish training camp of striker Djuny Junior Théodore, a young player born on September 3rd, 2009, from Aquin. In a short message, he mentioned a contract his uncle had promised him and promised that he would not give up football. While awaiting an official notification from the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), a complaint, according to our information, has been filed at a Barcelona police station to report the young Aquinois player's absence. If the departure is confirmed as a withdrawal, it could result in disciplinary or even financial sanctions for the player or the Federation, according to FIFA regulations.

UN : Extension of Sanctions

Adopted unanimously by the 15 members of the Council, Resolution 2794 extends until 2026 the sanctions regime targeting actors threatening peace and security in Haiti. These measures include an arms embargo, an asset freeze, and travel bans on individuals and entities linked to gangs.

The PNH listens to the needs of its band

A delegation, led by the Director of Personnel of the Haitian National Police (PNH), met with the police band. The discussions helped identify the band's strengths, weaknesses, and specific needs. Concrete recommendations were made to strengthen its operational, logistical, and institutional capacity.

New Management at ONART

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Frantz Toyo, Director of Human Resources at the Ministry of Social Affairs, installed Ms. Angeline Cherfils as head of the National Office of Crafts (ONART). She replaces Ms. Marie Michelle Étienne. Currently completing her Master's II program at Paris 8 University in Literature and Transculturalism, Angeline Cherfils is an educator, a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, and a union activist committed to the fight for quality education. She is also a gender advisor to the Committee to Combat Human Trafficking.

BSEIPH : New Administrative Director

This month, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) officially installed Lyonel Labady as Administrative Director. Already familiar with this role, Labady returns to a position he previously held, having distinguished himself through his rigor, competence, and fine-tuned mastery of administrative management and programs for people with disabilities. His return is seen as a strategic addition to improve the Bureau's operational efficiency and promote strong and inclusive governance.
