On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in the final phase of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, our senior Haitian national team, the Grenadiers, faced Nicaragua's "Los Pinoleros" in the second leg of their sixth and final group match at the Estadio Ergilio Hato in Willemstad, Curaçao, and secured a 2-0 victory.

The Grenadiers have returned to the world stage after 51 years (since Munich 1974). Today, generations of Haitians around the world are smiling after our Grenadiers' direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

Summary : Louicius Deedson opened the scoring for Haiti in the 9th minute with a left-footed shot from the edge of the box. From the penalty area. Josué Casimir provided the assist.

Ruben Providence doubled the Grenadiers' lead in the 45th minute with a close-range header, converting a cross from Carlens Arcus.

In the second half, the repeated attacks from the "Pinolers" were all thwarted by the Grenadiers' control of the game.

Thanks to this 2-0 victory, Haiti climbed to the top of Group C and secured direct qualification for its second World Cup in 51 years. Haiti's last appearance at a World Cup was in 1974 in Munich, Germany.
