Haiti - Education : Pilot project for teacher attendance and pedagogical progress

On November 26, 2025, at the Paul Eugène Magloire High School in Fort Liberté, a new Attendance, Access Control, and Pedagogical Progress System (SCAPPPED) for teachers was launched.

Inaugurated by the Northeast Departmental Directorate of Education, this system promises to modernize academic management and improve teacher efficiency. This new system was designed to facilitate the collection and monitoring of data related to teacher attendance and progress within the educational programs. Luckner Mompremier, Departmental Director of Education, emphasized the importance of this tool in optimizing school management and improving the quality of teaching.

Main features of SCAPPPED :

Attendance Recording :

A module allowing teachers to digitally report their attendance, punctuality, lateness, overtime, and absences.

Tracking of Educational Progress :

This tool allows for monitoring the progress of courses within the official curriculum of the Ministry of National Education, the level of adaptation of the courses offered, and the documentation of student performance, thus facilitating the development of teaching strategies tailored to the needs of each class.

Automatic Reports :

The system generates regular reports on attendance and progress, enabling better communication between teachers, educational administrators, and parents.

Professor Boni Etienne, Director of the Paul Eugene Magloire High School in Fort-Liberté, believes, "This system will not only help us better organize our work, but it will also offer transparency that will benefit our students."

Luckner Mompremier concluded the ceremony by outlining the long-term objectives of this project, which aims to improve not only teacher management but also to strengthen the entire education system in Haiti. SCAPPPED, which could become a model for other institutions across the country, is a promising step toward more effective and dynamic teacher management in the region. It represents a significant advancement in education in Haiti and a promising step toward more effective and dynamic teacher management in the region.
