Student Attempts to Drug His Classmates In Jérémie, in the Grand'Anse department, a student was arrested for attempting to drug his classmates. He allegedly contaminated popcorn he was selling at his school by mixing it with marijuana. Several students who consumed the product on November 21st experienced dizziness, loss of balance, and various other symptoms. The investigation conducted by the Haitian National Police (PNH) led to the arrest of the young vendor, who confessed during questioning to deliberately putting marijuana in the popcorn. Death of the Mayor of Petit-Goâve The Petit-Goâve town hall announces the death of Mayor Jean Bertrand Subrême, which occurred on December 6, 2025. The municipal administration pays tribute to a dedicated leader, respected for his commitment to development, peace, and the unity of the community. En Lisant Theatre Festival (Program) The 10th edition of the En Lisant Theatre Festival will take place from December 8 to 18, 2025. Cap-Haitien : Rehabilitation of the Price-Mars School In Cap-Haitien, the Ministry of National Education, the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), the UN Peacebuilding Fund, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are partnering to rehabilitate the Price-Mars School. This project aims to provide deported children, students displaced by violence, and the local community with safe and functional classrooms, as well as improved educational infrastructure, thereby strengthening community support. New Ambassador of Colombia On Thursday, December 4th, Foreign Minister Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste received Ms. Vilma Rocío Velásquez Uribe, Ambassador of Colombia to Haiti, for the presentation of her credentials.
