Haiti - Election : Registration of political parties, groups, and coalitions

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announces that it will be registering political parties, groups, and coalitions of political parties from March 2nd to 12th, 2026, in accordance with Article 143 of the Electoral Decree of December 1st, 2025 (https://www.haitilibre.com/docs/Projet-de-Decret-electoral-octobre-2025.pdf).

Official representatives of political organizations are invited to appear at the CEP central office, 72 Rue Stephen Archer, Pétion-ville, with all documents required by the Electoral Decree, within the allotted time, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

List of documents to be submitted by Political Parties :

List of documents to be submitted by Political Parties in accordance with the provisions of Article 143 of the Electoral Decree dated December 1st, 2025:

1 - Notarized articles of incorporation of the political party (Article 143, paragraph 1);

2 - Act of recognition of the political party (Article 143, paragraph 2);

3 - Party statutes (Article 143, paragraph 1);

4 - Minutes of the most recent general assembly or the minutes of the most recent congress appointing the party's executive committee;

5 - In the absence of its official representative, the notarized document authorizing the agent to register the party;

6 - Correspondence from the Ministry of Justice confirming the party's registration;

7 - Acronym of the political party (Article 143, paragraph 6).

8 - Emblem (Logo) of the political party in color (Article 143, paragraph 6);

9 - Color copy of the valid national identification card (CIN) of the party's official representative or agent;

10 - A virus-free CD or USB drive containing the emblem (Logo) of the political party (The logo must be in JPEG or PNG format).

List of documents to be submitted by Political Party Groups or Alliances in accordance with the provisions of Article 143 of the electoral decree dated December 1st, 2025 :

1 - Notarized articles of incorporation of the political group or alliance, its statutes, and its objectives (Article 143, paragraph 1);

2 - List of parties that have signed a notarized agreement for the political party group or alliance (Article 143, paragraph 4);

3 - Document stating an agreement between the parties regarding the use of a single emblem for the political party group or alliance (Article 143, paragraph 5). Note: This document must be notarized;

4 - Minutes of the most recent general assembly or congress appointing the executive committee of each party belonging to the political party group or alliance;

5 - Correspondence from the Ministry of Justice certifying the registration of each party belonging to the group or coalition of political parties;

6 - The official recognition document for each party forming the group or coalition of political parties (Article 143, paragraph 3);

7 - In the absence of an official representative, the notarized document authorizing the agent to register the group or coalition of political parties;

8 - Acronym of the group or coalition of political parties (Article 143, paragraph 6);

9 - Emblem (Logo) of the group or coalition of political parties in color (Article 143, paragraph 6);

10 - Color copy of the valid national identification card (CIN) of the official representative or agent of the group or coalition of political parties;

11 - A virus-free CD or USB drive containing the emblem (Logo) of the group or coalition of political parties. (The logo must be in JPEG or PNG format.)
