Haiti - FLASH : 3.9 magnitude earthquake near L'Asile

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 8:17 a.m., an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 on the Richter scale was recorded to 9 km northeast of L'Asile (Nippes Department). The epicenter was located at 18.39 degrees north latitude and 73.34 degrees west longitude, 14 km northeast of Aquin (South Department), and 12 km southeast of Anse-à-Veau (Nippes Department), at a depth of 7 km. No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by the Civil Protection (DPC) in connection with this seismic event. HL/ HaitiLibre
