Haitian airline Sunrise Airways inaugurated its new direct route between Cap-Haitien (CAP) and Boston (BOS) this week, becoming the first airline to establish a direct air link between Cap-Haïtien and the United States. This inaugural flight marks a major milestone for the Haitian aviation sector and for Haitian communities in the Northeastern United States.

The launch of this route represents a significant step forward in Sunrise Airways' strategy to strengthen connectivity between Haiti and its diaspora communities in North America, while supporting the economic development of Cap-Haïtien and, more broadly, the northern region of the country.

The Cap-Haitien-Boston route serves one of the largest Haitian communities in the United States. Greater Boston and the entire Northeast Corridor are home to hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Haitian Americans for whom direct access to Cap-Haïtien has long been limited.

With the launch of CAP-BOS, Sunrise Airways eliminates the need for connections via Port-au-Prince or other hubs, offering travelers in the diaspora a direct, convenient, and accessible link to Northern Haiti.

Cap-Haitien - Boston :

Outbound, weekly flight operated on a 180-seat Airbus A320 on Tuesdays.

Boston - Cap-Haitien :

Return flight on Wednesdays.
